This Cultural Fest is Organized Exclusively For the mentally challenged children. Person with disabilities are still not accepted by the society as equal and have to make great effort to realize realize even their most basic right. The obstacles in the path of their development are overcome by the struggles and hard work on the disabled themselves and by others who advocate on their behalf. The Society also has to play a vital rile in the development and rehabilitation of the mentally Challenged. In partial Fulfillment of thos responsibility, ASWEM organizes this cultural fest.
The word AWAKE literally means to wake someone up or to make someone remember something ASWEM really makes an earnest attempt to wake up social conscience toward the physically and mentally challenged children of the world , who are not accepted the society as equals.
An event with the above objectives, Awake’07 has been successfully conducted by the association on 1 th October 2007 which was inaugurated by his Excellency Sri R.L Bhatia, the then Governor Of kerala. Twenty seventh special schools was participated in the competition. The ever rolling trophy was bagged by Sanjose Special School Thavalakuzhy, Ettumanoor. calicut:It is a dream for every animator to get a chance to visit the hollywood animation park. the apttitude test was conducted by image and Mathurbhumi at all kerala level where the state was divided into three regional divisions.
The result will be published on the second week of june.The marks and the prizes will also be ditributed in a programme conducted by Image and Mathurbhumi themselves.
the winner of each region will be awarded as follows:
1st prize:Rs 25001 + scholarship + a trip to hollywood
2nd prize:Rs 15001 +scholarship
3rd prize:Rs 5001+scholarship
